Cradle to Nowhere

The escape room is booked. The man who built it is still inside.

A first-person psychological horror escape game. A minibus brings you through the rain to an escape room booked for one player, but the man who built it has shut himself in, and he wants the game to go ahead. Room by room his puzzles lead you through a whole life, from the cradle on: a mirror over an iron bed, a wall of dark holes to reach into, old films of a childhood, a war and old age, a shaft full of mud, and questions you have to answer right.

A fast, funny western shooting gallery in the spirit of the 1980s bank-door arcade shooters. Sixteen levels lead from a dusty frontier bank to a bank in hell, every character voiced, with four shops, five guns and counted cartridges.

Courses you write yourself, learnt at each student’s own pace.

Teachers and parents write courses in the browser: pages with recorded audio, vocabulary, quizzes and flashcards. They give them to their groups and see how each student is doing, down to every mistake. Students learn in the browser or in the Android app, also offline, and earn gold for an aquarium of their own.
